Now the whole country is in a second Lockdown, but as we already work from our dedicated home-based studios this hasn’t changed how we are completing projects.
At this very moment we are working on two projects for the Medway Maritime Hospital in Kent. One project will complement our ‘Birds of the Medway Estuary’ organ donation artwork we completed for them back in 2016. This will be a set of 4 ‘Hero Boards’ specifically designed so that individual organ donor names can be added over time - a means of personally honouring everyone who has selflessly given the gift of life to others.
Also, we have been working closely with the Clinical Research Department at the Hospital to create a multi-faceted artwork that outlines how they are working with their patients to develop and trail new clinical procedures, treatments and medicines. We have designed, and are in the process of, constructing a revolving light sculpture and also have illustrated over twenty icons that describe each clinical area and aspect of care.
We will be publicising these artworks as soon as they are installed - but for now here is a taster of just 4 of the Clinical Research icons.
